      Localisation : India and Sri Lanka east to south China, Hainan Islands and Taiwan; Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Siberut, Sipora ... Introduce in Autralia and New Zealand.
      Habitat : forests
      Size : 1,25 m high, 226 kg

      A brown coat with orange spots from time to time, fur thick and straight. Social animal with bucks whose can gathered during the mating period (nov, dec in central India) 5 to 12 does. Then they return to an alone life. Nightly activity, it stays during the day in the thicket. Swim easily.
